Awakening the Supreme Being in man through this mantra, “Prabhu Aap Jago”, Sacha Baba always remains immersed in supreme compassion. Today this mantra is his physical body, which is true and eternal, immovable and stable. The revolutionary Saint Sacha Baba has brought this mantra with which one can reach that place of Truth. — Maharajji Sacha Baba
With the end of year approaching, and with darkness deepening in the northern hemisphere, fortunately there are more and more invocations of spiritual Light in the world. They started off with the Hindu Diwali festival which celebrates the spiritual victory of Dharma over Adharma, light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance. Sacha disciples all over the world also participate in the invocation of spiritual Light by chanting the Gayatri and Prabhu Aapa Jago mantras all year, but particularly the Prabhu Aapa Jago non-stop from 31st December at 12:00 to 1st January at 12:00.
This diminishing of light towards the end of the 12 month cycle is a natural phenomenon, and man has always invoked the return of the life-sustaining sun. It is also symbolical of the ending of greater cycles which follow the same pattern – the weakening of the sustaining energies followed by their progressive return. Old forms die or disappear and are replaced by new ones which are more adapted to the new cycle of evolution.
It so happens that this is just the case at present, since the Yuga cycle has now entered the phase where the downward push from the Satya Yuga (Age of Light and wisdom) to Kali Yuga (Age of darkness, strife and illness) has ended and the upward push back to Satya Yuga or Age of Wisdom is on-going.
Maharajji Hans Raj Sacha Baba briefly presents Sacha Baba, a great Being incarnated among us through Saints Sacha Baba Girnari, Sacha Baba Kulanandji, and Maharajji Sacha Baba, to bring us more Light and help us reach enlightenment more quickly in this period of transition between two Ages. As the new cycle begins, the Divine Mother is now ready to reveal Herself more fully, and help us leave the darkness of the lower self or personality for the Light of the Self, the Atma, God. To make this transformation easier for humanity, Sacha Baba created the Prabhu Aapa Jago mantra. It is sung daily in Sacha ashrams and for personal sadhanas., but it is a mantra for the whole world, everyone can sing it.

Sacha Baba and His Work
There is a cause for every effect in this world. Without cause there can be no effect, just like without eyes, there can be no seeing.
Every work of Sacha Baba has that eternal, indestructible, blissful Highest Being as its only cause and he inspires everyone to practise this, to work for this Highest Being. A successful Karma Yogi considers work as his destiny and his nature, but the work he performs is always selfless and free from any expectation. In this manner, we see Sacha Baba as a successful, selfless, true Karma Yogi. His noble instruction is not to work for individual liberation alone, but for the liberation of the whole universe.
The reason for his work is to lead everyone towards God, and to establish peace and bliss in the world. He wants to transform the lower material interest of human beings into divine nature. His saying was, that Mother Nature (Mahamaya) has concealed the Truth in her womb, and she suffers from the pain of bringing it to light, of delivering it. Sacha Baba wants to give birth to that Truth and transform the world, based on individual experiences.
From the origin of time the all-pervading, blissful Being brings up the Truth, nourishing it. This continues even today. Now this same Mahamaya is weeping because of the pain of delivery, and she looks for your cooperation to relieve her pain. As long as the humanity of this Earth doesn’t realize this, and neglects to wave the flag of victory to this Truth, then what Maharaji wants to deliver — peace and bliss on Earth — cannot be attained. Today Mahamaya who was hiding the Truth till this time, is very anxious to give it to you now. Sacha Baba says:
“My aim after realizing the Truth is to bathe the whole universe in it!”

The last two Sacha Babas: Saints Kulanandji and Maharajji
Maharaji (Sacha Baba) works towards bringing sadhana (spiritual discipline) into all individual lives, and liberation to the whole universe. According to him, the perfection we long for cannot be limited to one individual. It wouldn’t be enough, neither possible, because divine perfection means to acquire Truth and Love, both through ourselves, as well as through others. The spreading of our personal transformation has a significant effect on others and brings true fulfilment to us. It is the highest service that can be offered and has to be constantly practised, for the development and perfection of all humanity.
In the 40th chapter of the Yajur-Veda (Isha Upanishad) we are told:
“When the wise man beholds all beings in the Self, and the Self in all beings” then out of this inner union a beautiful sound comes forth, and in that state of supreme bliss, the Highest Being begins to dance in ecstasy, and sings:
“Om Purnamadah Purnamidam Purnaad purnamudachyate
Purnasya Purnamaadaaya Purnamevaa Vashishyate”
(This is perfect, that is perfect, from the perfect springs the
perfect, take the perfect from the perfect, and only the perfect
remains)
“Perfection” means that nothing is imperfect. Sacha Baba’s instruction about perfection is to bring a balanced state in every creation in the universe. His aim is to change the whole universe completely. He incarnated among us for that very purpose. He used to say:
“The greatest perfection in a human being that can be imagined belongs to those people who, by having fully surrendered to God, see Him residing in every being”.
In order to make this become reality, Sacha Baba has come among us. Just as human beings have utmost need of God and search for Him, in the same way God also needs and searches for them. One outcome of God’s search is to be found in Saint Sri Sacha Baba.
Saint Sacha Baba is a divine instrument through which God sends his instructions to us. When we think about the individual experience of Sacha Baba, and we look into it, we come to the conclusion that he is a perfect instrument of God, through whom Paramatman expresses His will and orders, his instructions and love, his full power and his divine nature, to us, his children. Through these instructions he takes away our suffering.
Guided by love and affection, as well as by deep compassion for us, and with a view to transforming us, Sacha Baba starts praying:
“Prabhu Aap jago, Paramatma jago
Mere Sarava jago, Saravatra jago”
(Lord awaken, awaken in myself, awaken everywhere.)
Awakening the Supreme Being in man through this mantra, Sacha Baba always remains immersed in supreme compassion. Today this mantra is his physical body, which is true and eternal, immovable and stable. The revolutionary Saint Sacha Baba has brought this mantra with which one can reach that place of Truth. Today this prayer is his physical body, which nourishes us. A great saint is not the body, he is not body consciousness, he is like an initial candle flame that can spread to endless other candles, bringing light to them. In this process of enlightening, Santa Saint Sacha Baba comes among us, and he will keep on coming, as long as the prayer “Prabhu Aap Jago” has not been fulfilled.
“Mujh Me Samaja Es Tarah, Tan Pran Me Man Buddhi Me.
Jisse Na Koi Kah Sake, Tu Aur Hai Mai Aur Hun.”
(“Oh Lord, come into my mind, my body, my intellect and become one with me, so that no one can see any difference between us.“)
In my view, this is his work and form which he assumes to give shape to his prayer, and develop it. Sacha Baba is a great Being who brings about the transformation of the world.
