THE PARIVARTAN IS UNDERWAY, BUT WHAT IS IT ?
Parivartan is a Sanskrit and Hindi word meaning “change” or “transformation”. It is the spiritual regeneration of the world through a transformation of hearts and a Shift in consciousness. According to Shri Hans Raj Maharajji and the Masters of the Sacha lineage, a period of great regeneration aimed at making humanity more spiritual has already started off. This expansion of consciousness is inevitable and each person has to follow the path of his heart, i.e. that of love and spiritual progress in order to move towards that goal.
However, many will cling to their highly materialistic way of life, and so go against the new energies coming down on Earth, which will cause great suffering and disasters. This is not a doctrine about the end of the world, for the Parivartan takes place in the normal framework of the unfolding of cosmic cycles which rule life on Earth. Life will simply become more spiritual than before. In the end, this Regeneration will bring a great deal of light, brotherhood and happiness to men.
The Yuga Cycle

Most ancient cultures believed that human civilization and consciousness move in great cycles, slowly declining from Golden Ages of illumination and harmony to Dark Ages of ignorance and strife. In India, this cycle was called the Yuga Cycle. Other cultures knew it by different names. The Greeks referred to it as the Cycle of the Ages of Man, the Supreme Year, or the Great Year. The Persians called it the World Cycle. The Hopi refer to the four previous ages as the Four Worlds, while the Aztecs knew them as the Four Suns. The Egyptians were also aware of the Yuga Cycle, as were many other cultures; for this understanding was encoded into the ancient tales and sacred wisdom that had been orally transmitted for generations.
The complete Yuga Cycle lasts 24,000 years, and comprises an ascending cycle of 12000 years, when human consciousness gradually expands, followed by a descending cycle of 12000 years when virtue gradually diminishes.
It is thought that among the unfolding cycles of evolution which rule our globe, one is now ending: Kali Yuga, with very little spirituality and virtue. With the weakening of the energies of Kali Yuga, the gradual arc of descent from the Light and Wisdom of Satya Yuga, through Treta and Dvapara Yuga to the darkness and ignorance of Kali Yuga also ends, after which there is a period of transition followed by a gradual arc of ascent, back up through the same Yugas – Dvapara and Treta to Satya Yuga once more, and man will have gained more wisdom and spiritual maturity. We are now in the period of transition.
The four Yugas: Satya, Treta, Dvapara, and Kali are each characterized by a distinct set of virtues, values, and spiritual qualities.
Satya Yuga (The Golden Age): This is the age of Truth, virtue, and spiritual purity. Human beings are said to be at their highest level of spiritual evolution, living long, healthy lives, guided by dharma [rightousness] and wisdom.
Treta Yuga (The Silver Age): In this age, virtue and spiritual understanding decline slightly. Human lifespan shortens, and the first signs of conflict and strife emerge.
Dvapara Yuga (The Bronze Age): Virtue and spiritual knowledge continue to decline, and human lifespan shortens further. Disease and conflict become more prevalent.
Kali Yuga (The Iron Age): This is the age we are currently living in. It is characterized by a significant decline in virtue, morality, and spiritual awareness. Humanity is plagued by greed, selfishness, violence, and disease.
Parivartan – The Shift in Consciousness
At present, we are in a period of transition leading into big changes. The Parivartan (“change”), or Shift in Consciousness englobes these changes which will be manifested in the cycle of Aquarius, sometimes called the “golden age” (not to be confused with the great Satya or Krita Yuga which is the one usually known as the Golden Age). It is an Age of more spirituality where man is more connected with his Higher consciousness and there is great development in his intellectual faculties.
So this new cycle on the rise with its changes, is progressively bringing about big modifications in people’s consciousness and also the reorganisation of the whole of human society. This spiritual initiation will bring more peace to the world by our living more through our hearts.
The old must therefore give way to the new, and in this period of transition, whatever or whoever creates an obstacle for the new energies will be swept away. So before the full light of this Aquarian age shines down upon us, the old structures and attitudes will disappear.
Changes always come about progressively in God’s creation, and since the middle of the 1900s when the new energies started coming down, man has had ample time to adapt to them, but many have not done so. It is therefore probable that we see spirituality on the rise, while at the same time man-made and natural disasters with great destruction also increase, because of the resistance offered to these powerful energies.
Maharajji Sacha Baba’s Recommendations
Sacha Masters and disciples, as well as many spiritual people all over the world pray for a more rapid expansion of hearts and consciousness to usher in this higher level of spiritual consciousness and a world of brotherhood and much more happiness.
Let us go back to Maharajji’s 2003 and 2004 Guru Purnima speeches to his disciples, to see his practical recommendations to enable harmonization with these powerful energies.
Although these messages were intended for his Indian disciples, they inspire sincere seekers, whatever their origin. And if one does not have a Master, that is no obstacle, for as Maharajji Sacha Baba says,
“Love is the Heart, and Love is God. Everyone has a heart, so everyone can realize God.”
“Always live through your Heart.”
“God is the supreme Guru.”
After decades devoted to assisting the universal Shift in consciousness, for four consecutive years, on the occasion of this festival, Saint Shri Hans Raj Maharajji spoke about the coming Parivartan, seeing how urgent the situation was, even if the disciples themselves were not aware of it.

At the Guru Purnima held on July 2nd 2004, Maharajji made a speech and said about the coming events:
“ You must be prepared for the Parivartan; it is going to come very soon, whether you want it to or not. The Gods will be here on the Earth. Those who survive will be those who are close to God. Sacha Baba Sant [his Master Sacha Baba Kulanandaji] had noted in his diary that the ones who survive will be those who submit themselves to God. Depending on the nature of the destruction, the number of survivors will vary. If the destruction is caused by a nuclear disaster, thirty to thirty-five per cent of the population will survive. But in that case, the survivors will not be of much use because they will be very severely handicapped. On the other hand, in the event of natural or other means of destruction, fifty-two per cent of the population will survive.
A minimum of two or three hours a day should be devoted to God to be saved from these disasters. This sadhana can be for example, japa (continuous repetition of a mantra), satsangs (informal gatherings with a spiritual teacher), meditation on a verse from the Bhagavad Gita. Just one verse communicates the essence of life. Do participate in satsangs. If you want to invite saints and pure Divine Beings, do ceremonies of yagya (fire ceremonies) followed by bhandara (large religious meal), they will be most happy. Sant Sacha Baba Maharaj was here when the preparation of this last yagya was underway. He was very pleased and stayed here for some time. ”
Maharajji then spoke about the fact that the philosophy from India was able to guide humanity out of this period of ignorance, doubt and helplessness in the face of more and more complex problems which assail men everywhere on the surface of the Earth. These declarations reinforced what he had said the year before, for indeed, in 2003, Maharajji had already declared,
“ We have to bring about the change in ourselves first, and then this change will have an effect on others also. People come to me for problems concerning their factories, for their children’s marriages and other similar things. But from now on, I will not use my spiritual powers for that kind of thing. I will only be working for the Parivartan.
When the serious crisis between the Soviet Union and the United States of America was going on, the situation was so bad that they could have gone to war at any time. I devoted three days to performing tapas (very strict discipline, austerities) so that there should be no war. And there was no war finally. Whatever we do now is so that the change will come about peacefully, with mercy and compassion.
But you still have a lot of vikars or various bad tendencies in you. It is true that it is not easy to get rid of all these negative tendencies, but we can manage to do so. It is like when dirty drain water goes into the Ganges and is purified. If you always contemplate your Guru and connect heart to heart, then the change in you will take place and this will bring transformation to others. So if you do not connect from the heart, but do so through the mind and intellect it will not be possible to change. You will not be able to bring about the transformation in yourselves or in anybody.
I will continue my spiritual struggle whatever the situation may be. My fight to bring about the change with mercy, compassion will continue. Indeed, there had been a difference in opinion about how this change should take place. Some of the higher forces1 that spoke to me some time ago thought that we should make a sankalpa2 and allow the wars to take place, and let everything come to a head, but I refused. I did not accept that possibility. My purpose is that the change should be done gently. ”
The sincere seeker will be happy to know that with these particular energies of the moment, all causes bring about their effects much more rapidly than in any other or better age. He can therefore accomplish more, and in a much shorter time, for, while the obstacles seem great, the powers to be invoked can be reached more quickly.

1 The Great Beings have several solutions to solve the serious problems which humanity has to face, and sometimes they do not have the same opinion about the solution to adopt, for each one has its advantages and drawbacks.
2 Sankalp or sankalpa (sometimes also written sankulp) is a thought or word having a great power of realization, a decree, directed will power used to materialise something or a new situation or event. According to Hindu scriptures, God created the universe through a sankalpa. Saints or realized Masters can make a sankalpa when it is absolutely necessary.
